This week, our sendin' household took a girl's trip to Houston for the weekend to celebrate one of our best friends' birthdays, and let me just say, It was nothing short of a good time. This week in Houston is premier fashion week which started this year, and all of society was invited to attend an exclusive fashion show at the Porsche dealership. We started our weekend off with an extravagant night and ended the weekend with hungover vibes in desperate need of an IV bag.

Houston Fashion Week was a spectacular showcase of creativity and style, featuring an array of talented designers who captivated the audience with their unique collections. Among the standout designers were Giannina Azar, known for her luxurious and intricately detailed pieces; Candice Wang, whose innovative and elegant designs left a lasting impression; and the vibrant, contemporary brand InLove, which brought a fresh and youthful energy to the runway. Each designer presented a distinct perspective on fashion, making Houston Fashion Week a true celebration of diversity and innovation in the fashion world. Being invited to sit front row as a VIP at Houston Fashion Week was an exhilarating experience, offering an exclusive glimpse into the cutting-edge world of fashion. The privilege of mingling with the models, hearing their stories, and learning about the inspiration behind the designs added a personal touch that made the event unforgettable. The show reached its zenith with InLove as the showstopping final act, captivating the audience with a dramatic twist. The models graced the runway in stunning dresses, each design more intricate and beautiful than the last, all while donning masks that added an air of mystery and intrigue. This bold choice highlighted the artistry and innovation at the heart of InLove’s collection, leaving a lasting impression on everyone in attendance. As our girl group gathered to discuss our favorite looks from Houston Fashion Week, one design by InLove unanimously stole our hearts. It was an exquisite ensemble detailed with sheer fabric, adorned with an array of navy blue feathers that shimmered under the runway lights. The craftsmanship was impeccable, combining elegance and drama in a way that was both tasteful and showstopping. We were mesmerized by how the delicate feathers floated with each step, creating a sense of ethereal beauty. This standout piece perfectly captured the innovative spirit of the show, leaving a lasting impression on all of us. This was an absolute 10 out of 10 dream experience we will never forget!!!!

Day two in Houston was packed with excitement and activities. We kicked off our morning with a shopping spree at CityCentre in Memorial, exploring trendy boutiques and splurging on some stylish finds. After working up an appetite, we enjoyed a hearty lunch at a local eatery, fueling up for what we knew would be a long night ahead. As evening approached, our anticipation grew for the night out at Club NOTO. Thanks to our promoter, the entire night was meticulously planned, complete with bottle service and a prime front-row booth. The highlight of the night was supposed to be DJ Chantel Jeffries, and we were thrilled to have the chance to see her perform. The club itself was absolutely gorgeous, with sleek decor and an energetic vibe that promised an unforgettable experience. However, our excitement was short-lived. Despite the stunning setting, Chantel Jeffries’ performance was a major letdown. It felt like we were back at our middle school dances with a sixth-grade DJ. Her set lacked the energy and skill we had anticipated, leaving us disappointed. Despite this, we made the most of our night, enjoying the luxurious atmosphere and each other's company. Despite having an incredible time at the club, we couldn't help but notice some questionable fashion choices among the crowd. As the night progressed, we coined a new saying that perfectly captured our sentiments: "can't put heels on a cockroach." I mean, y'all, some people just can't dress. While we were turning heads in our chic outfits, it was surprising to see such a mix of styles, some of which were downright baffling. This new saying became the highlight of our night, adding a humorous twist to our experience. We laughed and joked about it, turning our disappointment into a memorable and fun part of the evening. Despite the fashion faux pas around us, our group shined, enjoying the luxurious atmosphere and each other's company. As the night wore on, we couldn't help but wonder: where were all the hot men? Instead of being approached by the sophisticated, after-work gentlemen we were hoping for, it felt like we were surrounded by a sea of shaggy dogs. Seriously, it was like they all missed the memo on dressing to impress. While we were dressed to the nines, ready to mingle with some classy individuals, it seemed like our surroundings didn't quite match our expectations.

The night might not have gone exactly as planned, but it was filled with laughter and unforgettable moments.

"Can't Put Heels On A Cockroach"

As the clock mercilessly ticked towards dawn, our group found ourselves in a hilariously familiar predicament—still out and about, soaking in the city's sights as if we were nocturnal creatures with a serious case of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out).

Picture this: it's 5 am, and there we were, looking like a ragtag band of night owls who had accidentally stumbled into a time warp. But hey, who needs sleep when you can exchange stories, laughter, and maybe a few questionable dance moves under the stars? As we reluctantly accepted the inevitable end of our weekend escapade, we couldn't help but marvel at the absurdity of our situation. I mean, who needs a bedtime when you have the entire city as your playground, right? And let's not forget the real MVP of the night—caffeine, our trusty companion in this battle against sleep deprivation. But alas, all good things must come to an end, even if that end comes at the crack of dawn. So, with heavy hearts and heavier eyelids, we bid adieu to yet another unforgettable night, promising ourselves that next time, we'll definitely aim for a more reasonable bedtime. But hey, where's the fun in being reasonable when you can live life on the edge (of sleep deprivation)? Thank you, Houston, TX, for the sleep deprivation and great memories!!! XOXOX

Much Love, The SENDIN'IT household
